Share your October Photos (2024)

Haven't gotten out too much with the camera due to work and when I did get out I shot a few rolls of film. Thankfully I managed to get out for a couple of hours last night with the Sony A7C w/Nikkor AF 85mm F1.8. To give me a chance with MF I stopped down to F2/2.4, it meant slightly higher ISOs but was worth it. It rained lightly when I started walking which is perfect for urban night photos. I did shoot one intentional black and white scene, I liked the leading lines and the overall structure/texture of the scene.

Weather has been a bit of a challenge in that it's been very cloudy, dull and grey lately. Hoping for some sunny weather as I discovered some places that with a bit of sun at the right part of the day could give nice contrasty scenes

I can't wait to write a review trashing this Q1 camera.

I went downtown to watch the elites finish the Chicago Marathon.  Told several people, I was mad that I missed last year because the world record was set by Kelvin Kiptum, the greatest hope for a human running a sub 2 hour marathon, tragically killed in a car crash with his coach, like a few months later. I predicted a course record 3 days before , but not by any individual runner.  but I did not predict 35 seconds off what was... "once said impossible".

I also said today, (Sunday) is not a record conditions day.  Apparently Ruth Chepngetich said "hold my beer" and CRUSHED the women's record  running sub 2:10.

I have 1 good photo but the pacer was blocking my view for most.  I'm way behind in editing.  So I don't have her shot in there yet... I'll get to it.  I just made an album because I am too tired to post each individual.

I love both these shots. I'm assuming the vignette is from the lens and not post (or maybe it's post) but it makes these shots look older than they are, which is cool!

Happy snappin' 🙂

I did disappointingly little photography this October, made doubly disappointing now that fall has seemingly come to an abrupt close. I bought (and returned) a 5d Classic, and took a few shots with the K-01, which grows on me every time I use it.

Indeed. Old Kodak 16mm S mount Cine lens, almost cover a M43 sensor on the longer FOV shots. Thanks.
